Buying A III Pines Labrador Pup
Labrador Retrievers are a
wonderful breed and we are proud to be a part of their history. We, as
breeders, have a responsibility to protect the future of the breed. As a result
of this responsibility, all of our puppies are sold on an AKC limited
registration, which restricts breeding. We never encourage or require an owner
to breed a III Pines Labrador. Selective breeding requires years of knowledge
and research that most owners lack. We hope you understand that we do this to
protect the health and future of the breed. Therefore, we advise that a pup be
spayed or neutered prior to the age of one year.
Our puppies remain with us
for seven to eight weeks after whelp in order to have their initial heart worm
medication, initial puppy shots and be checked and wormed by our veterinarian.
We recommend that you continue the vaccination program that has been established
for your puppy’s well-being. All puppies are raised in our home and are
handled with love. Mothers are allowed to influence, interact, and train their
pups until the day they leave for their new home which is so important in the
development of sound temperaments.
Please do not be offended
if we ask as many questions of you as you do of us, as we are responsible for
the future of our puppies. This is, and will remain, a shared responsibility
and trust between breeder and owner.
Before purchasing a puppy,
please understand the commitment that you are accepting. It takes time, patience, work and most of all love.
We encourage visits to our
kennel (by appointment only) to meet our dogs and for us to meet you.
Thank you for your
interest in III Pines Labrador Retrievers.
